About Cued Language

  • Removes the guesswork of lip reading: Clarifies spoken language, in real time by providing visual cues that differentiate speech sounds that may be difficult to understand through lip-reading alone. Compliments the use of hearing aids and cochlear implants.

  • Quick Mastery: 20 hours and/or 3 to 5 days to learn the system

  • Enhances language comprehension: Provides a visual representation of spoken language that helps individuals develop their vocabulary, grammar, and overall language skills more effectively than relying solely on lip-reading

  • Complements the use of English and ASL bilingualism: Provides access to both deaf and hearing worlds

  • Accessible to everyone: Does not require the deaf to use their voice
